Here in Arizona, the dog days of summer are in full swing, but the monsoons have recently arrived to provide some temperature relief but also to bring higher humidity levels. School has recently started for many students and will soon begin for many others. Many people have yet to file their 2018 business or personal tax returns. It is important to note that the extended deadlines to file these returns are just around the corner. The extended business filing deadline is September 16th and the extended individual filing deadline is October 15th. For perspective, those deadlines are approximately eight weeks and twelve weeks away at this point.

For those that have already filed their 2018 tax returns, congratulations! For those that still need to file these returns, we urge you to act as soon as possible. For those who are our clients who have not yet filed 2018 tax returns, please provide your documents and information to us this week to provide us with adequate time to complete them for you in advance of the extended filing deadlines. As the deadlines approach, it will become more difficult for us to complete your returns quickly due to higher activity levels.
